Dundee based Brightsolid have announced a 75% growth in turnover for the year up to March 2011 with turnover up from £16.2m to £28.4m. Brightsolid who specialise in online publishing and technology, owned by DC Thomson, have said that this growth is due to two main focussed areas: secure business services online and internet publishing.
In November 2011 Brightsolid launched the British Newspaper Archive which gives access to 4 million pages from 200 newspapers across Britain from the 18th and 19th Centuries. This project will continue with more content added to the archive over the next decade.
Chief Executive of Brightsolid Chris van der Kuyl said "It's been a great year for Brightsolid, with growth across all our business areas and we have invested real time and effort integrating the Friends Reunited Group into the business."
