Today Dundee United announced a new sponsorship agreement with Dundee based independent games development studio Digital Goldfish. The deal sees the mobile platform game developer's name and logo adorn the home and away shorts of the first team in 2012-13. The distinctive Digital Goldfish logo has been recreated in Dundee United colours to tie in with the overall look of the new kit. The logo appears on the right leg above the Club crest.
Chairman Stephen Thompson stated: "Digital Goldfish are a young and highly motivated company with a determination to provide the highest quality games across several platforms in a thriving business environment. We are thrilled that they have chosen Dundee United's first team shorts as their platform to enhance brand awareness."
Digital Goldfish, established in 2005, were formed in order to create original content across iOS, iPad, Android, Sony PSP, Nintendo DSi, Windows Phone 7 and mobile J2ME platforms.
Barry Petrie, Studio Director of Digital Goldfish, said: "As lifelong fans of Dundee United it is a great honour to sponsor the Club. This deal provides nationwide exposure for Digital Goldfish and will help us to establish our business within the local community. We are excited by the current squad and can't wait to see what Peter and the boys produce next season."
The launch of Dundee United's new home kit for season 2012-13 will take place on Friday 8 June 2012 and this will be the first opportunity to see the new logo on the home shorts.
